Excursion from Marrakech To Essaouira

Day 1: Marrakech – Essaouira – Marrakech

our driver pick you up 08:30 am after breakfast from the hotel or Riad where you stay driving to Essaouira. Essaouira is located 170 km from Marrakech along the Atlantic coast of Morocco. It was founded by the Phoenicians and was one of the ports of the Roman Empire. During the 17th century, the city became a Portuguese colony.

When we arrive at Essaouira you will receive a Moroccan tea cup with mint starting with a visit to Essaouira, in accordance with the old name of the fishing port. Essaouira was classified as a human heritage by UNESCO. The old city is surrounded by massive walls protected from the winds built by the Portuguese during the colonization of Essaouira.

We will have a meal at one of the city’s famous fish restaurants. Essaouira is also famous for its traditional handicrafts. The beach is gorgeous and extends as far as the eye sees. You can also visit a women-run cooperative, where the famous Argan oil is produced. At sunset, you will return to your hotel in Marrakech.
